Pathways’ In-Person Services:

General Information and Your Risks and Responsibilities

Pathways will begin offering in-person group sessions on May 1, 2023, while continuing to offer virtual services.  Choosing to participate in our in-person programming means you assume a risk of exposure to COVID-19 (or other public health risk). This risk may increase if you travel by public transportation, cab, or ride sharing service.  For the protection of those in our community living with compromised immune systems, it is important to establish specific safety protocols.  Please note the following information:

  1. Everyone entering the Pathways building is required to wear a mask while actively in an in-person one-on-one or group session, regardless of vaccination status.
  2. We strongly recommend that participants coming to the Pathways’ building be fully vaccinated*.
  3. We require all staff and providers coming to the Pathways’ building to be fully vaccinated*.
  4. While the Pathways staff and its in-person providers are required to be fully vaccinated*, we cannot guarantee that other participants with whom you come into contact are vaccinated.

*The CDC defines "fully vaccinated" as a person who has received all recommended doses in their primary series of COVID-19 vaccine. For more information, please visit: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/vaccines/stay-up-to-date.html.

Your Responsibility to Minimize Your Exposure

To obtain and/or provide services in-person at Pathways you agree to take certain precautions.  These actions will help keep our community safer from exposure, sickness, & possible death and include:

EVERYONE: 

  • If you have tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 10 days, have been exposed to someone who has tested positive or are experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms we will need to cancel your session. Symptoms include: fever, cough, difficulty breathing, loss of taste or smell, sore throat, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, chills, muscle pain, extreme fatigue, new onset of severe headache, nasal congestion or runny nose.
  • Keep your in-person appointment/session only if you are symptom free. 
  • Wear a mask while actively in a one-on-one or group session. 
  • Wash your hands or use alcohol-based hand sanitizer when in the building. 
  • Respect a distance of 6 feet when not in a session.
  • Proper cough/sneeze etiquette is expected (i.e. cough/sneeze into elbow).
  • Take steps between appointments to minimize your exposure to COVID-19.
 

Our Commitment to Minimize Exposure

Pathways has taken steps to reduce the risk of spreading COVID-19 within our building including:

  • Pathways staff and volunteers are fully COVID-19 vaccinated*..
  • Seating in the designated waiting area and session rooms has been arranged for appropriate physical distancing.
  • When not in a session, Pathways staff and volunteers maintain safe distancing.
  • Restroom soap dispensers are maintained and everyone is encouraged to wash their hands.
  • Hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol is available throughout the building.
  • We schedule appointments at specific times to minimize the number of people in the building at the same time.
  • Tissues and trash bins are easily accessed. Trash is disposed of on a daily basis.
  • Building session rooms and common areas are cleaned daily.


IN-PERSON PROGRAMMING Q & A

Q: Is the process for confirming and canceling sessions different for in-person and virtual programming?

The process is very similar - the main difference is you will not receive Zoom login info for
in-person programming.  The steps for in-person programming are:

CONFIRMING:

  • Confirm your session in the system up to 5 days prior to a session.
  • You will complete a Release & Acknowledgement Form in person, at the time of your appointment.

CANCELING:

  • Log-in to your participant account and cancel like you always have.  Please give us as much notice as possible should you have to cancel.

Q: What is the best way to communicate with Pathways staff regarding my upcoming session? 

Our scheduling@pathwaysmpls.org email is monitored Monday through Friday between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm (except holidays).

Q: Where should I park?

Our parking lot entrance is off of Hennepin Avenue, adjacent to our building.  If the parking lot is full, there is street parking on the east side of Hennepin and on the nearby side streets (32nd and Holmes).  DO NOT PARK ON GIRARD - it is permit parking only for residents.
